RE & Faith Life of Our School
Our School Vision & Mission Statement
We are extremely proud to be a Church of England Primary school, with a strong Christian distinctiveness. Our mission and vision is firmly embedded and rooted in school life and permeates everything that we do.
Our mission is to love all children who are part of our community, helping them develop respect, tolerance, self-confidence and to become the best they can be.
We will support our children to develop their God given gifts to the full and encourage a life-long passion for learning which will successfully lead them into secondary school and beyond.
As a church school at the heart of Moreton community, our work is underpinned by the Christian values of love, respect, service, hope, joy and patience which Jesus helps us to achieve.
We are a welcoming, caring and inclusive school committed to working in partnership with parents, governors, Christ Church and Chester Diocese Academy Trust.
We strive to provide a rich and varied curriculum which reflects God’s concern for the whole child; promoting spiritual, moral, cultural, physical and emotional wellbeing alongside academic excellence and independence.
As a school community, we all work together to provide the very best for our pupils and families; firmly believing that:
Together we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us
Our school vision is shared by all based on the following scripture:
“Love must be completely sincere. Hate what is evil, hold on to what is good. Love one another warmly as Christians, and be eager to show respect for one another. Work hard and do not be lazy. Serve the Lord with a heart full of devotion. Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times.” Romans 12:9-12
Our School Aims
At Christ Church School, we believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and is entitled to the relevant support to enable them to fulfil their potential. Our aim is to provide an exciting and dynamic learning experience, which gives children the opportunity to acquire the skills, attitudes and knowledge, which will enable them to understand the world around them, as they perceive it.
We as a school, all work extremely hard aspiring to achieve our school vision in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. Our children are given opportunities to flourish and we encourage pupils, staff and families to develop their intimacy with God through prayer and their own reflections.
Through our Christian foundations, we acknowledge our responsibility to all, to enrich lives and show love and respect within our school family. We believe in life-long learning aiming to equip our children to live life today and for tomorrow rooted in Christian love.
Collective worship
Children and staff engage in daily collective worship around the value and this is planned around whole school themes. Our half termly collective worship overview identifies the liturgical calendar links, international holidays and festivals and also takes into account any Local, National or Global issues to encourage children to reflect upon.
Each week, there is a collective worship follow on task planned for children to revisit the key messages explored during worship, unpicking scripture and allowing them to dig deeper or to ask and respond to their ‘big questions.’ Collective worship may be delivered outdoors, in classrooms, the school hall or even our church! We also enjoy weekly visits from the clergy at Christ Church Parish Church, Moreton.
Christian Values
We have taken 6 Christian Values from our school vision and we focus on one of these half termly. Our aim as a school is to ensure that our vision is a living reality which enables pupils and adults to flourish, so we have taken the values from our theologically rooted vision from Romans 12:9-12. The values we have chosen are:

At the end of each half term, a year group will deliver collective worship to their peers and parents to explain their learning and reflections on the value, demonstrating the context of how it links to our school vision.
Ethos group - Vision Voyagers
Our school ethos group are called the Vision Voyagers. They are a group of children fromY5 and Y6 who are recruited to be pivotal players in developing the Christian Distinctiveness of our school. They meet weekly and are currently working on further developing our shared language of spirituality, evaluating and improving our collective worship, whilst also improving prayer spaces around the school. We have strong links with our Church and are developing links with other CE schools across Wirral and Cheshire and with Moraba Primary School in Kenya. Through these projects, they are developing an awareness that they are part of a wider faith family and can make an impact on the world.
These ambassadors will represent the school at Christ Church Parish Church services and lead the whole school community in reflection days e.g. Experience Harvest & Experience Pentecost.
