Admission to Christ Church Pre-School, Reception & Other Year Groups

Joining Our F1 Pre-School Class Our youngest children can join us as soon as they are 3 years old and we love having our own pre-school at Christ Church. Children learn and play in their own classroom, supported by highly qualified Early Years staff and lead by our experienced Early Years teacher. Children in Pre-School benefit from having access to our lovely EYFS outdoor area, Forest School area and swimming pool in the summer term. We also have in-house catering and childcare from 8am - 5.30pm. Our children and families also have access to the many skilled and knowledgeable staff and agencies, who work with us to provide the very best start to school.

Joining our F2 Reception Class Applications for Reception are managed via Wirral Local Authority. Parents and Carers must apply via the portal by 15th January in the year their child is due to start school. We run a series of school visits and open sessions for families to visit our school to help decide if we are your prefered choice. Offer letters are sent electronically to parents and carers on 17th April and we then get in contact with you to welcome you and your child to our school. We run a series of transition activities so that by the time September comes, your child is ready for school and settles well. We use our Admission Policy to rank the places offered and if we are over subscribed this also guides us with appeal processes. Our school may not always appear when families are looking on the Wirral catchment finder site; this is due to the council's filters on the site - but don't worry, our catchment is currently based upon our Parish boundaries and covers a wide area.
